DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACEUTICS

The Department of Pharmaceutics is one of the key departments of the institute. It is equipped with state of the art facilities to undertake research in drug development and delivery of conventional dosage forms and novel drug delivery systems. This department's research laboratory is approved by the Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai for the award of PhD in pharmaceutics. From this department 106 post graduate students have passed out, including a Gold Medallist, since 1993 and presently 3 students are on roll.

More than 50 international publications in peer reviewed journals.
Grants received from AICTE, New Delhi, MHRD, New Delhi, etc. for nearly 8.5 lakhs in the last three years by our department from a total of 42.85 lakhs since inception.
Maintaining 100% in M.Pharm result since inception
Recognized as Research Center from 2004 for the award of Ph.D. degree by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai
Established an 'Entrepreneurship and Management Development Centre' with the grant of Rs. 4 lakhs from AICTE, New Delhi
